- RIVER REDGUM - 2500 x 1600 mm x 65mm - 260 kilograms
Don't mess with the Sergeant. He's 260 kilos. He knows who he is. He's been around as long as your grandfather and will knock you down with a memory from the war if you're not careful. Sourced from a wind-felled tree in Edenhope, Western Victoria, The Sergeant is a broad-shouldered 1600 wide red gum anomaly standing at 2500 mm in height. It's rare to find a 65mm thick edging with this much character and the wildly exotic markings of this piece feature grains and gum veins that - not unlike the lines of a veteran's weary eyes - overwhelm on first glance. A vibrant amber hue with lionesque etchings, The Sergeant speaks for itself. Do what you will with it, but respect it's lineage at all times.
